PartyGaming, the worlds leading listed online gaming provider, most known for its online casino, bingo, and Backgammon, has just announced that it is is taking bingo to the television. In an exclusive agreement signed with Channel 5 Broadcasting Ltd, PartyGaming will create a “Five”-branded bingo and casino eGaming service, specifically targeting the UK market. This investment in digital business is yet another example of PartyGaming’s resiliance and adaptability in the online gaming market. After the US implementation of UIGEA in 2006 Party Gaming lost 75% of its market but have shown that they are leading forces in the online gaming industry as they continue to develop and invest in both direct and affiliated gaming markets.
This year PartyGaming have already made several B2B deals, with Intralot and DM plc for example. They have also signed a three year global alliance with the international gaming and leisure company, CIRSA Gaming Corporation S.A. (“CIRSA”). CIRSA are land-based casino specialists and have an extensive reach in Spain already (where they have 57 bingo clubs, 4 casinos and 139 amusement arcades). Part of the agreement that PartyGaming and CIRSA have made involves the investigation and development of online gaming in Spanish speaking countries. This probing of new frontiers is what keeps them ahead of the pack.
The CEO of PartyGaming, Jim Ryan, has said of the recent deal with Channel 5;
“With more than 30 million viewers each week and a household entertainment brand, Five is an important addition to our expanding business-to-business portfolio. We are confident of securing more B2B deals in the coming months as we match our eGaming talents and assets with the consumer reach of other companies around the world.”
