Last week saw PartyGaming buy out the company that owns Foxy Bingo and Getminted, Cashcade Company. According to The Times, PartyGaming Paid £100 million for the company in order to boost their credibility in the bingo market.
Reports are also circulating that PartyGaming may be looking to buy software company and Nasdaq-listed rival Gigamedia as well. Gigamedia is reportedly worth around £246m and is reputed to have taken on the services of Goldman Sachs to find someone to buy either its Everest poker brand or possibly even the whole company. Last month it told investors that it was “in discussions with several interested parties concerning the possibility of a strategic merger or a sale”.
