A real disappointment.  We were expecting great things with this slot, but the end product is a complete let down.

The Spiderman Revelations online slot is the second Spiderman themed slot to be produced.  Based on the Marvel action hero, this slot would have been expensive for its creators to license.   The owners of the Spiderman intellectual property would require a small fortune to allow a slot to be based on the Spiderman theme and consequently we were a little surprised to see that so little thought had been put into the actual slot itself.

It's almost as if Cryptologic (the software manufacturer behind this game) were trying to cash in on their initial investment by producing a slot on the Spiderman theme in the hope that players would play it on the basis of the name of the game alone.  It's likely that players would flock to this game.  Lets face it, the Spiderman name is a big draw., but after sampling this slot they are unlikely to return.

Our major problems with the Spiderman Revelation slot lie with the bonus game which we found rather confusing to play, and which ultimately doesn't appear to offer any value to the player.  The bonus games concept involves Spiderman fighting Dr Octopus on top of a train and being presented with either a win figure or asking you to try again to save more hostages.  The problem is that the longer you played the bonus game, the more hostages you saved, but the actual winnings figure doesn't increase proportionally. Go figure....

Ultimately the Spiderman Revelations slot is a disappointment to both slots and Spiderman fans.  In its current format this slot should never have been released.  A real missed opportunity.
