The Mad Hatters slot is a 5 reel, 30 payline game which incorporates a Bonus game, a Free Spins feature as well as Substitute and Scatter symbols.  If you can overcome the rather annoying theme, then this slot does offer enough to make it worthwhile having a look at.

There are enough new features in this slot to make it stand out from what is becoming a rather crowded market in the online slots industry.  On paper the Mad Hatters slot offers the full package of features which should keep the most experienced players interested.  In addition,  it does have good graphics which makes it pleasing on the eye.  However, we really struggled with the sound that accompanies this game.   There is a constant rather annoying laughing sound which just about drove us up the wall when we were compiling our video review (which you can see below). You can call this knit picking but if you play this game you will see what we mean.

Ultimately we found that the Mad Hatters slot  falls down is in the detail.  The main bonus game is rather pathetic and to trigger it you are required to land 3 clock symbols on adjacent reels (i.e. reels 1, 2 and 3 but not 1, 2 and 4).  We found this rather difficult to hit, and were more than a little disappointed when we were rewarded with a rather lame bonus game.

On the plus side, the Mad Hatters Slot does allow you to choose an additional Substitute ( Wild) symbol in the free spins round which is a nice touch.  In addition it also has an 'Expanding Wild' on reel 3, a great feature which makes all symbols on reel 3 appear as Substitute symbols, and which can bring in some decent wins.

In summary, the Mad Hatters slot is a bit of a mixed bag.  It's a shame that a couple of rather annoying attributes detract from what in essence is a solid slot with some decent features.  On this basis it's well worth a look, but the negatives ultimately outweigh the positives.
