We were expecting big things from the Big Kahuna slot and ultimately we were disappointed with the end product.  On paper this slot has a lot going for it, including a decent bonus game as well as enough bells and whistles to keep you wanting to come back for more.

We certainly liked the free spin feature which gave 5 free spins randomly throughout the game, and we absolutely loved the concept behind the Snakes and Ladder bonus game.
However, what good is a brilliant bonus game if it never comes in?  We test slots for hours (for review purposes and also to make our review videos - see below),  and it literally took us hours to trigger the Snakes and Ladders bonus game within the Big Kahuna online pokie.  On the occasions we eventually did get in, we found that our game was rather short lived. Call it 'lady luck' if you must, but we were left with the impression that a number of other features are easily triggered with this slot (such as random free spins and a lot of Substitute and Scatter symbols) and that as a result the bonus game is rather more difficult to trigger.

It's not that the  its a bad slot, in fact it's far from that.  We love a decent bonus game and consequently our expectation levels were high for the Big Kahuna Snakes and Ladders slot.  Whilst our expectations weren't fully met, this slot will still provide plenty of entertainment value to players.  It's just that we feel that this slot could have been a whole lot better and as such view it as a missed opportunity.
