IGT announce launch of new games

IGT, the gaming machine manufacturer have announced the launch or 4 new games at the Australian Gaming Expo (AGE) that it hopes will help it enhance its presence in the lucrative Australian market.

The IGT booth at the AGE exhibition which has taken place this week at the Sydney Convention Centre has proved a hit with the Australian audience.  In an event that attracts 150 of the worlds leading gaming manufacturer’s IGT’s display of new technology has gained admiration from both industry press and end consumer businesses.

Recent news in the Australian gaming market has been focused on the announcement that Bally are to re-enter the Australian market, and although there was much interest at AGE in the potential for Bally to break into the Australian market, IGT have managed to steal the show with diversity of their product range.

Focussing on the here and now, IGT’s new games cover the broad spectrum of the Australian consumer market.  Low and high denomination games, as well as machines targeting the hotel, rather than casino sector where space is a premium, indicate a clear strategic direction, and an easily identifiable product base with clear branding from which end consumers  can easily and readily identify with.

Norris Goudy, General Manager of IGT Australia summed up the tone of IGT’s presence ….

“We are looking forward to a successful AGE 2010 and to building on the solid foundations IGT has established in the Australian and New Zealand gaming industry,”

Top on the list of new games include the Wheel of Gold pokie that has a distinctive 32 inch LCD screen.  Their chart topping Gold Fever game which comes in two denominations, and a track record of success in the American market, certainly proved popular with visitors.

Much of the success that IGT have had has been driven in the last 12 months since the last AGE exhibition.  The Neo Cabinet, which was launched in the Australian market a little over a year ago has gone on to huge success globally, and whilst the new array of games may not pack quite the punch, IGT have impressed many with their clear approach to the Australian market.
