Bally U Spin

This week saw the second annual Caribbean Gaming Show take place in the Dominican Republic.  Whilst we were there, we took the opportunity to not only top up our tans but also to take in some of the latest developments coming out of Bally Technologies, one of the brightest stars in the pokies market.

The Bally stand displayed two of the latest additions to their video game stable in Cash Spin and Vegas Hits.  Both games make the most of the touch screen technology of Bally U Spin which has that enables players to spin a virtual cash wheel on the screen when they land the bonus feature.  Bally are the first company to make use of this type of technology and it certainly adds a new level of control and interaction that is particularly liked by younger players.

We had heard a lot about the Bally U Spin, but it was great to get to see it working first hand, and to be honest we were really impressed and could see why it was awarded the ‘Best Slot Product’ at the last Annual Global Gaming and Technology Awards.

It was also great to see Bally’s new Pro Series upright and slant cabinets which looked good and felt great to play at.  This is Bally’s first attempt at producing a dual screen slant cabinet, and key characteristics that we liked included the integrated arms rests for player comfort, as well as the great sound (which comes from a new stereo sound bar positioned above the lower display.

All in all it was a great trip where we picked up the latest news and developments within the market.  More online pokies news from the event will be posted in the coming weeks.
