Bally Technologies, the Las Vegas based gaming company, have announced that they are to enter the lucrative Australian pokies market in a move that will prove great news for Australian pokies fans.
Two new senior appointments have been made by the American organisation. Mike McNee joins as the Managing Director of the new Australian division which will be based out of Sydney. He moves to Bally after 18 years at Aristocrat where he was latterly General Manager of Games and Licensing.
The appointment looks like a perfect move for Bally, who will not only gain an experienced industry professional with a sound understanding of the Australian online pokies market, but will also be a double blow to Aristocrat Technologies, their main competitor in the Australian market.
Bally have also announced that another former Aristocrat man will be joining their ranks. Ron Jeffrey, will join the new Australian division as Sales Manager, having previously also worked at Aristocrat for 10 years.
