Following the recent announcement that Bally Technologies are to re-enter the Australian market, Aristocrat have announced immediate plans to aggressively defend their dominant position in their home market.
The appointment by the Las Vegas based Bally of two experienced former Aristocrat executives, and their announcement to use the Australian Gaming Expo (AGA) as a launch pad for their drive into the Australian market has led to an aggressive response from Aristocrat and Trevor Croker, their Managing Director.
In a press released issues to the markets, Croker has issued a clear statement of how Aristocrat are to defend their market share, particularly in the fragmented Hotel sector, the most likely starting point for any new entrant into the Australian market. Croker has announced plans to launch 2 new Australian pokies, the Rose Tatoo and the Class Act in the hope of pushing Australian themed games to its target audience.
Commenting on the planned launch, Crocker goes on to say…
“We are confident that our Rose Tatoo game will be a hit in pubs across Australia.”
Hoteliers will have the opportunity to make their own mind up at the forthcoming Australian Gaming Expo which commences on the 8th August. Both Bally and Aristocrat will be displaying the latest gaming machines in an event which will also show displays from approximately 150 gaming vendors.
